Automatic Sport Timer, 42 mm, Dive Watch
I love the watch but the time mechanism seems to be geared a little fast. It runs almost a minute faster every few days after I sink with smart phone or desk top computer. Not sure why this is?! I litterally have to reset the time every week because it ends up being a couple minutes off.

Automatic Sport Timer, 42 mm, Dive Watch
The craftsmanship is incredible staying true to its 1990s roots though its been remodeled in a fresh futuristic look. The way I can keep track of my schedule is amazing,I have bankers insurance on it and use it almost everyday.I have yet to use it underwater though I will soon.Execution of the dials and 12 o'clock to 12 o'clock is flawless.Completly happy with this purchase and watch.

Automatic Sport Timer, 42 mm, Dive Watch
Built like a tank and classic dive watch looks. Haven't taken it diving yet but I'm sure it will be super easy to read.

Automatic Sport Timer, Automatic, 42 mm
I came to the decision to purchase a Sport Timer from Luminox for two reasons. #1. They cater to those of us who’ve put ourselves on the line for what we believe in. I like that because there are many watch brands who try to lay claim to that military mantra but offer nothing in terms of a monetary discount. Luminox put themselves out there for us and that’s respectful and honorable because they obviously care. If they’re willing to step out like that, I’m interested. #2. I shot off an inquiry email and their response was timely and friendly. I refuse to do business with a company that doesn’t have communication in mind when offering a product.
Now on to the watch info; I almost thought to send it back. The black ceramic bezel bound up at the 6 position. Was it off center, a quality issue, or did it need to break in? All I can say is it has loosened up with time and use. It’s still a bit snug at six but not so much that I feel it takes away functionality. That one detail pales in comparison to the overall ruggedness of the watch. You have to love this thing at night. It glows on the nightstand. I found the band a bit stiff and tend to swap that anyway- not a deal breaker. The watch runs fast. It gains about a minute a week.. not uncommon for a mechanical watch. But, it’s not a certified diver. It’s not an Omega Seamaster… like a BMW. It’s more like my F-150, a truck. And that’s what I wanted it for. It will carry the load and get the job done and can be depended upon for just that. Another feature I dig is the Day Date window. If you look close, it’s running right up flush to the face… clear and legible. That tightness when compared to a Seiko nails it. The letters and numbers are never off center or crooked. The hands track as you would expect for the quality you pay for. The face and numerals are easy to read. The badge Haskins to Tag… and some claim it’s to big. Well, on this model I find it disappears when checking the time. It’s classy though and I wouldn’t want that changed. After I sock away a bit more $$$ I will look to pick up another just for fun because why not? They make good stuff. And I like their save the ocean perspective. It’s not just about watches. It’s about ideals I can partner with for the long haul. The free hat - now we’re talking sweet deal. Even the hat is nice.

Automatic Sport Timer, Automatic, 42 mm
The new timepiece replaces the Apple Watch Series 5 that I retired on May 31, 2021. I seek to minimize distractions and maximize attention. Online activities kind of rewire our brains such that attention-span is shorter and short-term memory isn’t as reliable.
The Sport Timer 0921 looks and feels good to me—and what a relief not to be nagged by Apple Watch or need to charge it nightly. The analog timepiece’s persistent luminescence is an enormous benefit, for my aging eyes.

Automatic Sport Timer, Automatic, 42 mm
The Seiko 62 MAS, introduced in 1965 was their first dive watch, and mine ... I've collected well over a hundred watches ever since. My first Tritium watch was the Luminox 3801, Master Carbon SEAL. Finally, a watch I could read at Zero Dark Thirty! I am retired, my Tactical Ops days are over, but the 3801 is an excellent tactical tool watch. I liked it so much I bought them for all my children in the military. Since then, I've collected Tritium watches exclusively. This Luminox 0921 is one of my favorites, and my hands down favorite for the money. I have it on both a bracelet, as well as a strap. They keep time every bit as well as my COSC certified chronometers, and they wear much more comfortably on the wrist than the top heavy clunky watches that seem to be popular these days.
