What are the shipping rates?
All orders ship FREE to the 48 contiguous United States using UPS Ground Shipping. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge. Expedited shipping rates will be calculated upon checkout depending on your shipping location.

Do you ship internationally? 
Purchases made through WWW.LUMINOX-USA.COM only ship to customers located within the United States, Military U.S. Territories such as Guam & The Virgin islands, and Puerto Rico.

How quickly will my order ship? 
Orders received by 1 pm. EST Monday through Friday will be shipped within the same day. Orders received on the weekend will ship the following business day. All orders are shipped via UPS ground shipping unless expedited shipping was requested for an additional charge.


I need to change something on my order. How can I do that?

If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us immediately. Once our warehouse has processed your order, we will be unable to make any changes. You can contact our customer service by phone at (917) 522-3421 as soon as possible to change or cancel your order. In the likelihood that your order has already shipped, we offer free return shipping.

Why was my order canceled?

If your order was unexpectedly cancelled, chances are that our fraud filter marked your order as fraudulent.  It is usually advised to try another credit card if this happens.



What do I do if I receive the wrong item or a defective item?
If you have received the wrong item or a defective item, please contact our customer service by phone at (917) 522-3421 or by using our returns contact form here within 5 business days of receiving the watch. We will work with you to switch or replace the product you received. 

Luminox will not accept responsibility for returns/exchanges lost or stolen in transit to our Return Center, so please ship insured and track your package.

        How long is the lifetime of my watch battery?
        A battery life varies usually from 2 to 3 years depending on the type of watch, its dimensions and the amount of energy required by the different functions. For instance, a chronograph will have a higher energy consumption than a watch indicating the hours and minutes only. 

          How frequently should my Luminox be serviced?
          Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly in order for it to work perfectly. We cannot indicate the intervals for such servicing, given that it depends entirely on the model, climate and the care taken by the watch’s owner. As a general rule, it is between 3 and 4 years, depending on the usage of the watch.

            What is the lifetime of my leather strap?
            Depending on use, the lifetime is from 6-12 months.

            What does the Luminox warranty cover?
            Any malfunction in materials and workmanship during the warranty period of your watch will be repaired free of charge with the presentation of the warranty certificate and timepiece. Any damage resulting from inappropriate use is excluded from the warranty, as is the battery, crystal, and wear to the case and strap or bracelet.

            Technical Questions

            How long will the battery last in my watch?
            A battery can last between two and ten years, depending on the type of watch, the capacity of the battery, the size and weight of the hands and the energy required for the various functions of the movement. For example, a chronograph uses more energy than a watch that only shows hours and minutes. Some Luminox watches give a signal when the battery is almost exhausted: As soon as the second hand jumps in 4-second intervals, it is time to have the battery replaced by a Luminox-certified watchmaker. Even when this stage is reached, the watch will work for one to three weeks before it stops completely. Please note that the battery is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. 

            What does "water-resistant" mean?

            Luminox watches have a water resistance of 100 to 500 meters, as indicated on the back of the case.
            However, this is no indication of the potential for loss of water resistance over time. Please note that temperature differences and external influences such as solvents, cosmetics, dust and vibrations such as shocks or sudden movements can have a significant impact on the water resistance. Occasionally, the crown or the watch glass may be shaken without leaving any visible traces, but the movement may be damaged and the water resistance may deteriorate.
            It should also be noted that seals and sealing systems are affected by wear and aging. This applies, for example, to the sealing rings around the glass, around the crown and the back of the case. In addition, not all types of wristbands are suitable for underwater use. With the exception of a rotating bezel, the moving parts of the watch (crown, pushers, etc.) should not be operated under water. Before wearing the watch underwater, make sure that all moving parts are fully engaged. A threaded crown in particular must be screwed in tightly. After wearing it in water, the watch must be rinsed, cleaned and dried with clear, fresh water.
            Never open the watch case yourself. The water resistance should be tested regularly, at least once a year, by an official Luminox partner.
            Most waterproof watches are tested according to the international ISO-2281 standards. Only special diving watches (like the Luminox 1500 series) are tested according to the much more rigorous ISO-6425 standards. We recommend the following degrees of water resistance for certain activities in or near water:
            Splash water: 3 atm (30 meters)
            Activities on the water surface: 5 atm (50 meters)
            Swimming / snorkeling: 10 atm (100 meters)
            Diving: 20 atm (200 meters), we recommend a crown with a rotating thread. Deep sea diving: special tests required according to ISO 6425. 

            How accurate is my Luminox watch?

            Quartz movement:
            The typical rate deviation of a quartz movement is between -0.5 and +0.7 seconds per day. External influences such as vibrations or sudden temperature changes can impair the accuracy of a quartz movement.
            Mechanical movement:
            The accuracy of the watch depends on the movement and the habits of the wearer and can therefore vary greatly. The average rate deviation is between -10 and +40 seconds per day.

            I have a nickel allergy, can I wear Luminox watches?

            The materials we use at Luminox are carefully tested to avoid allergic reactions. For customers who react to stainless steel, we recommend watches made of titanium or plastic.

            How durable is the leather strap of my watch?

            Depending on use and wear, leather bracelets usually last between 6 and 18 months. It is also important to pay attention to the hygiene aspect, because the leather strap is exposed to your sweat, bacteria and dirt every day. We therefore recommend replacing the leather bracelet at least every 18 months. 

            How does the Luminox Light Technology work?

            The fluorescent tubes from Luminox, which we call LLT (Luminox Light Technology), are constructed in such a way that they light up for up to 25 years - with a 10-year lighting guarantee from the date of purchase, provided the watch is not exposed to strong vibrations. Luminox - Always Visible.
            Luminox watches glow continuously for up to 25 years, even in complete darkness. Every Luminox watch is equipped with small micro gas tubes that do not require an external energy source. These micro gas lights (in borosilicate glass capsules) are attached to the hands, hour digits or on the dial and in some cases in the bezel of our watches. These fluorescent tubes are harmless to humans and the environment.
            Luminox watches do not need an external light source to “charge” the color in the dial or on the hands, as is the case with many conventional watches with luminous paint. In contrast to watches with electronic lighting, there is no need to press a button to illuminate the dial. This means that the lighting does not consume any additional energy. 

            Is it a concern if my watch glass steams up?

            Luminox watches are produced in a clean room with a controlled relative humidity of 45% to prevent fogging. Under certain circumstances, however, water may condense inside the watch due to the natural humidity.
            This can happen if the watch is exposed to extreme heat or cold within a short period of time, for example if the watch is first illuminated by the sun and then worn while swimming or under a cold shower, or if you fall down while skiing and the watch glass comes into contact with cold snow.
            Unless the condensation is caused by a weak point due to shock or damage to the watch, it will disappear once the climate has normalized. If the watch glass is still fogged up after two to three minutes at normal temperature, you should send the watch to an authorized service center to repair any jarring or damage to the seals, which could affect the water resistance.
