The power behind precision

ETA, Valjoux 7750 Movement

Revered for its precision, durability, and legacy, this Swiss automatic chronograph movement is a true workhorse, perfectly aligning with Luminox’s ethos of rugged reliability and timeless performance.

The Story of the Valjoux 7750

First introduced in the early 1970s, the Valjoux 7750 revolutionized watchmaking with its innovative cam-switching mechanism, offering a robust and efficient alternative to the traditional column wheel. Designed to withstand the demands of daily wear, this movement gained acclaim for its reliability, accuracy, and ease of servicing. Over decades, it has become a cornerstone of Swiss horology, used in some of the most celebrated timepieces in the world.

The movement features a 48-hour power reserve, 25 jewels, and an impressive 28,800 vibrations per hour, ensuring a smooth sweep of the second hand and precise timekeeping. Its automatic winding system is powered by the motion of the wearer’s wrist, emphasizing its mechanical ingenuity.

At the heart of two of Luminox’s timepieces, the SR-71 Blackbird 9070 and Field Valjoux Chronograph 1860, lies the renowned ETA, Valjoux 7750 movement.
